Pyrolysis

• Pyrolysis is a non-incineration thermal treatment process defined as, “The endothermic gasification of wastes using external energy in the presence of insignificant amounts of oxygen, producing small volumes of off-gases.”
• IMPACT’s Pyrolytic Process consists of four combustion chambers capable of processing a total of 4,000 lbs. of low-level radioactive DAW in a 24-hour day
• Pyrolysis will be available to customers March of 2009
